Walgrave Primary School is a truly inclusive school. We work closely with parents to ensure all members of our community regardless of their abilities or disabilities can access and make the most out of our fantastic little school. Where appropriate, we will make changes to the fabric of our school to accommodate children and staff with disabilities and where this is not practical, we will change how we operate to ensure no one is disadvantaged by coming to our school.
Statement of support:
Who to speak to if you feel your child has a Special Educational Need
Mrs Sarah McElroy is our school SEN Coordinator. Sarah is available via the main school email address, firstname.lastname@example.org Sarah is supported by Mrs Katherine McRae, who works with ch on a 1:1 or small group basis. In addition to this, we have several teaching assistants who work with SEN children, some of whom receive support on a 1:1 basis in class.
Mrs Lydia Lingley is our Governor who oversees SEN in both of our schools and she can be contacted via the school office.
Our accessibility objectives show the steps we take to include all members of our community in our school. As a school we also maintain an accessibility plan, detailing what actions the school will be taking over the next 18 months to improve access to the school site and its facilities. Both of these documents can be accessed below.
